After passing my winter holidays in Switzerland, I decided to continue skiing next weekend with the "Crazy Dog Team" in the french Pyrinees (Aragnout valley) closed to Sobrarbe valley in Spain (Aragón).
The forecast wasn't the best we could hear about it, before starting our journey to the north, but we are "crazy dogs" and for us nothing is impossible, so come on, friends!.
In this picture, it's possible to see how many snow and how the road was to entry to the Bielsa' tunnel from Bielsa town on saturday morning.
t was an adventure weekend loaded of strange and difficult situations caused by the weather conditions. The people were excellent, and between all of us collaborated to help the problems. Fisrt at all, it was to put the road chains onto the tyres of our cars. Amazed moment, because we did a detailed course to set up the chains on tyres under the snow storm.
These are some pictures about this "plot" on Saturday and Sunday....
Saint Lary is a beautiful town, but the access from it to the resort is a little annoyed, cause there is only a telecabine to transport all the ski passangers. So Elena, my partner and me decided to park my car away going up the road to 1,700 m high.
There the snow was recently fallen, and the machines had not stepped it the day before, so it was like to ski out of ways.
After an accidental journey, the problems were bigger and bigger at the evening, cause the battery of my car discharged and I couldn't start up my car, so I had to do some telephone calls to my insurance company, my friends and others to rescue me and helping me. At the end, everything was solved, but I apreciated so much the collaboration of all my friends. Others had got problems to set up the chains again, so we had to retire the tyre to pull out the obtured chains. All of it, when the evening was fallen down, the snow storm was harder and our cars were on the slope in the French side before crossing the tunnel and arriving Bielsa. Our staying point on weekend. Some pictures give more information about the rally adventure we lived...
There was time to fun at night. During the supper we laughed a lot and after it we went to the unique bar opened in Bielsa to play "futbolín" and having a spirit. Next day would be better in Piau Engaly...
The last day in Piau Engaly, the most closed resort in the French side of the Pyrinees to Spain, was better. But not all the resort was open by wind storm on the top. At least all of us (12 people) could ski together. We enjoyed so much with the fallings of ones of us, specially a silly falling of me at the beggining when I thought the snow was hard and compacted, but..., it was fresh and soft, Lol!. That's all. Expecting new emotions in Cerler for carnnaval weekend followed by a lot of friends skiing.
kisses and hugs my fellas...
